Ismail A. Kainuwa
Ismail is a public health physician and development practitioner with nearly two decades of progressive experience in health care design and delivery, spanning public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He has gained a deep understanding of Nigeria’s policy and political ecosystem as well as the dynamics of global health and development. He has led complex projects in resource-constrained and fragile settings across MNCAH, Family Planning, Immunization and PHC System Strengthening, engaging and working closely with key stakeholders at both national and subnational levels to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the pursuit of health and development goals.
A medical doctor with strong academic profile at postgraduate level, including Master of Public Health, Master of Health Economics and Community Health Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians. Certified Economic Evaluation in Health Care from the Switzerland Schools of Public Health Plus (SSPH+), Royal College of Physicians led RCP/WACP M-PACT clinical training on Malaria, HIV and TB, amongst other clinical, public health and management trainings.
